As you can already tell from my posts I am very interested in design festivals and conferences and low and behold Design Indaba (South Africa) has been named best conference in the world by IBTM, Barcelona, Spain.

Also through Icograda call for entries has been posted for the 20th International Warsaw Poster Biennale.

Now for something completely different, lets talk about feet and the Australian thong. I’m sure there may be lots of you out there that are interested our ‘foot’ design icon and the history of shoes…..I certainly am. Well check out ‘podologist and shoe historian’, Cameron Kippen’s post on sandals and sex for some interesting shoe history.

Last but not least a very interesting story in the Australian by Kate Legge on the pressures on urban design and aging population (and visa versa).

There are so many exciting discussions around the world and this is one of them. I thought I really need to post on this to point out that Lydia Pearson & Pamela Easton will be speaking - both Australian, and both usually extremely difficult to get to speak at local events as they’re working in India in their design studio and workshop.
