Prenzlauer Berg houses the Vitra Museum Berlin

A former brewery in the in the heart of Berlin’s art districts Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg will soon serve as the new home for the Vitra Design Museum Berlin.
The museum, which closed its doors in early 2004, will open again this Fall on the grounds of the former Pfefferberg brewery, revamped and structurally expanded by Berlin-based architecture firm Multiplan.
The site already serves the Akira Ikeda gallery and design exhibition Designmai.
The museum has several major exhibitions in the works-including retrospectives on Marcel Breuer, Italian designer Joe Colombo, and Le Corbusier.
