RAIA’s Gold Medal for Architecture goes offshore
10 03 2006Perth-born and raised, Singaporean-based architect known for his buildings around the world, and particularly in South-East Asia, Kerry Hill, has won Australia’s most prestigious architecture prize - the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) Gold Medal for Architecture. His international reputation is such that his practice has designed and built or is currently working on projects in Bhutan, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Australia and Japan. He is a previous recipient of the prestigious Kenneth F. Brown Asia Pacific Culture and Architecture Design Award in 1995, and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2001 for The Datai in Pulau Langkawi in Malaysia. Read the rest of this entry »
