Concrete canvas: designing for disaster relief

Peter Brewin and Will Crawford have designed the winning award set to revolutionise the work of aide workers in emergency situations. In the light of ever more dsiasters it seems around the world – tsunamis, earthquakes and border disputes etc, the CCO1 gives quick and durable accomodation with better protection in extreme conditions.

The concrete canvas can be deployed by a person without any training in under 40 minutes and is ready for use within 2 hours and is designed to last 10 years.
